In Dec 2019, while experiencing raining ash clouds over our central Sydney offices we had an idea that we thought might put some pressure on our government representatives to acknowledge the link between these devastating bushfires and climate change.

With a call to Greenpeace, no budget and 1 week to produce, we created Ash Globes, a dark twist on the traditional snow globe. Each AshGlobe was handmade in our office with ash we collected ourselves from areas already devastated by the fires in rural NSW.

After launching with Tim Minchin and Dan Illic the idea really caught on as more celebrities such as Russel Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Vera Blue, Lisa Wilkinson & Matt Okine reached out asking for Ash Globes of their own. Needless to say it was a very busy Christmas…. Santa ain’t got nothing on me.

The Ash Globes created national and international headlines, helped the Greenpeace climate action petition reach over 120,000 signatures, and finally got our coal loving PM to acknowledge the facts.
